Many people have used the word "Beautiful" to describe the instrumental solo acoustic guitar styling of Terry Lynn Tschaekofske. Blending styles of jazz, blues, folk, rock and classical, with a high energy feel, Terry is able to create a fusion of beautiful contemporary new age sounds. Melodic harmonies that are sometimes lively, other times mellow, always exciting. Truly wonderful solo guitar music that touches many emotional chords.
Often compared to Michael Hedges, Leo Kotkke, Pat Metheny or Chet Atkins. Terry composes stories without words. Instead using melody, harmony, and rhythm on an acoustic guitar to express stories, emotions and ideas.
Active as a musician since early childhood, Terry has performed in numerous rock and blues bands in Utah and Northern California. As a private teacher he has given thousands of lessons to eager students. Currently Terry is busy promoting his debut solo CD Illusions.
Songs on Illusions cover a wide variety of styles and emotions. Some are more classical in nature, some have more of a blues influence, some have jazz elements, yet none are your typical jazz, classical or blues tunes. They are a blend of styles and techniques creating a sound all their own. A wonderful combination of styles and mood is what separates this wondrous music from the all the rest.
